Just get a point n shoot and problem solved. No more lens combination headache.

![]() Really depends on what you want to shoot, maybe get a all rounder first (if you are loaded, 18-200mm VR, if you are poor (like me) then get a 18-135mm), find your niche and then go on from there?

Ever heard of the phrase "using the right tool for the right job"?
Each lens is like a different tool, with a different purpose. Obviously, trying to shoot birds in flight with a 14-24 f/2.8 doesn't make sense. Your bird will take up ~3% of the frame. I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but there really is no one best lens combination for everything, so don't be naïve in thinking there's a best lens combination for shooting everything. Yeah, sure there is - get every lens in the catalogue. |

With such a vague question, what do you expect? Duh. Never even put in a budget and what you intend to use it for, how would you expect people to answer you? |

Bro difficult to suggest unless you tell us more about the nature of photographs you wanna take and your budget. There is no best camera nor best lens, everything is a compromise.
