Well, in the old days, without AF, photo were taken, and were sharp too, but there were focusing aids in the VF like split prism or the like.
Vivitar reminds me of a shop in City Plaza - a very, very rare shop that sells all kinds of film cameras, PnS and SLR. At first, I thought the shop was selling used stuff, but upon asking, the owner told me all his stuff are NEW! And there are Vivitar, Soligor, Cosina, Koboron and a few other lenses that are almost forgotten by most of us already. And in terms of SLR, there are the likes of Yashica, Ricoh, Olympus, Chinon, Cosina, Minolta, Seagull and a few others...... Just wonder who are his clientele. BTW, these are not the collector's items that have got antique or some genuine value. We are not talking about Leica or Voigtlander or Rollei.
