The prices in China for the lens (14-35mm f2.0) is the same as the 35-100mm f2.0. Should be between S$3200 - S$3700. Sweet glass but a little too expensive.

The price is already listed as US$2299, which is a bit more than the 35-100mm, but that's not bad considering the quality for the range. Of course, that doesn't mean that I'll have one right away. The 35-100mm dropped from about US$2699, when new.
By the way, the 14-35mm was listed on Olympus America's 2005 lens roadmap as a future, planned lens. ![]() |

Have to shoot a lot more assignments this year if I want all these new toys... LOL...
Something from the latest Beijing Professional Photographers Show 2008... What a way to start the year... the spreading of the BBB Virus.... ![]() The most poisonous of the lot... I really want this lens... ![]() I really don't mind having this in my showcase at home... though you cannot use this lens... ![]() Lighting you up in a big way... ![]() The smaller version of the light... ![]() Speed boost added... PS : Those who has the 12-60mm SWD, remember to update the firmware on your lens... you will be pleasantly surprised at the performance boost... quite amazing what the firmware update can do... I tested the 12-60mm versus the Nikon D3 with 17-xxmm lens, and the speed difference from the Oly is significantly faster... yes!!!

Wow. Spreading major poison.
![]() The 14-35mm f/2 look sweet! But I don't know why I need to pay so much more, except the aperture. The 14-54mm has wider range and it costs much cheaper. ![]()

You are paying for exceptionally amazingly well made glass bro. That is why you are paying so much more... and the resolution on the glass will be worth it. When you are into the details, you will realise that the SHG lens are worth the money...

But I think it's really too expensive for the focal length. Maybe a 12-60 f2 would be more worthy of this price tag.
