I went to Laselle this evening...I thought it was today. How long is the photo talk at Laselle? ends at what time? Is the exhibition at the esplanade free ?

I went to Laselle this evening...I thought it was today. How long is the photo talk at Laselle? ends at what time? Is the exhibition at the esplanade free ?

Yup...met her only at the opening of her exhibition and conference and was introduced to her then. How was the talk today? Enriching?
Lovely lady. A firm believer of the old traditional film and darkroom (b/w, color), hand painting of the prints etc... Brilliant use of the lenticular printing technique and the use of Lithographic film with special developer to create 3D light boxes of brilliant pictures. Another take home point is her portrayal of women in brothels, strip dance clubs and her feelings towards them. The interesting point about photographing hotel rooms and the fact that hotels are asking renown artists to decorate and individualise every single room is something we can emulate in Singapore. Let's hope she can get another art residency here in the near future. We can definitely learn a lot from this dynamic lady |
