I bought my lens from AP on last day of 2007. I don't have good sample photos to show you, however you can check up the sample photos from http://www.pixel-peeper.com/lenses/?lens=3

If you are considering FF in future, can consider Sigma 12-24 as well.

The 10-22 is 2mm wider. 2mm on the wide end is a lot of difference. Obviously, the 12-24 is narrower, but IMHO, you get a more solid build, a constant f/4 (which can be very nice) and you pay less.

Sulhan, Gosh those pictures are wonderful from a third party WA lens
I'm also contemplating getting this particular lens. Your pictures seem to have very low distortion. Is it corrected thru PS or is it naturally so?

mine's the nonhsm version because not available for pentax, but i think optics wise should be the same, no?
but you can see the later singapore sunset shots i have, all of that is taken with it. most of the london shots too. entire italy gallery shot with it. ditto for venice. 3 samples at 10mm: ![]() ![]() ![]() cheers Last edited by night86mare; 16th January 2008 at 05:54 PM. |

I must admit, when I first started using it, I was pretty bad at it, but after awhile I got the hang of controlling the distortion. |

xtemujin,
thanks for sharing the nice shots. Impressed! by the way, you have been using the Sigma for a while, would you mind sharing with us, what do you like and dislike about this lens. Why did you not decide on the tokina or Tamron instead? Of course many of us have read reviews about the 3 brands, but feedback from your real life experience using this lens would be valuable input to many of us. Thanks once again. |

No worries, I went with the Sigma 10-20mm instead of the Tokina 12-24 because of the 10mm, lighter weight and the price. The Tokina was as big as my Nikon 18-200mm VR.
Like most of the users here have mentioned, you need to master how to use the distortion at 10mm or you'll not be happy with the results. HTH.
