considering its geographic location, it is of no surprise of the tibetan, burmese, viet and chinese influences.

sinkasa, your panaroma looks good although the stitching can be seen. i think subject does have its merit. the temple pics are not as good as the vista, to a certain extent, i think the red umbrellas are really an eye sore.

You r right. The stitching is indeed visible. All shots are hand held and hence there is some perspective distortions. In any case, it is still viewable.

Hmm ... Vista. Had to look up the dict to understand this. lol ...

I would say the temple picts are pretty plain when compared to the grandeur of the other sceneries of yunan.

perhaps it is the plasticky yellow and red paints of these temples, somewhat common as well in China, Taiwan and SEA. i'm not sure if it is refurbished too. neither do i know enough of the culture there to differentiate whether they are subsequently built chinese buildings or are they truely local buildings of the petsi people (exonym: bai ethnic). it certainly feels better to see cultures and histories unique to their locations when you travel

If you're talking about Yunnan's Ethnic Minorities, there are 24 or 25....
