    Default help! Damaged hard disk

    Hello guys, I need assistance!

I've a case of a dropped external hard disk and now we can't access the data inside.

Would you guys know any repair or data recovery companies that may help?

Are there any located in Sim Lim, by the way?

yep there's a few on the 3rd and 4th floor, by the side. Says there data recovery, but it's going to cost you.. though the process isn't all that difficult.

I brought mine to Sim Lim and was charged a me a high price as they bring it to other recovery companies. I eventually
chose to bring my hard disk directly to a Data Savers - specialised data recovery company. Can go to them if you want as Sim Lim companies send their hard disks to them and cut the middle man. website is www.datasavers.com.sg

DataSavers charges are about $500-$2k, depends on the complexity of the repair and the level of damage, no charge if they cannot fix it. I just sent mine for repair, now eagerly waiting for the returns, take abt 2 weeks.

DataSavers is ready bad, takes ages to handle their paperwork and logistic, 3 weeks after collecting my drive the guy told me the repair has not been started yet, OMG, talk about premium service and prices.
