Hi all Olympus users...
Asking on behalf of friend who is very very tempted to buy E3 (i myself is tempted as well but sticking on with my current setup). Which shop offer a good pricing for E3 body on credit card installment and which card? Pardon me as i do not shop around for camera since i have my own and i do not use a CC for installment so seeking people who might have just recently do some purchasing around. Same time, is 12-60 SWD lense available? Understand that it is out of stock from some posts i have read up. Appreciate any advice and help and thank you in advance on behalf of friend. |

I don't think it makes a difference which card you use.... well you may want to consider which card is going to expire before the instalment plan runs out because your threat to cancel the card may not be that effective if you have an outstanding instalment plan which is subject to penalty charges for early cancellation.
The best prices always come with cash, not credit. If you are using credit card then I dun think it matters very much where you go shop. I go to HVN at Funan because Amos is patient and allows you to play with the camera and lenses until you are convinced. He also usually has ready stock. I did come across a pretty low cash price at Alan Photo at Sim Lim (NOT Funan) but again, with credit you probably need to add on a couple of extra percent. Other popular stores are John 3:16 and MS Colour, I believe.

Thanks pals....
While i am not the one who is buying, personally i am quite against getting items on installment unless i really really need it and short of cash. But for my friend, guess he have been blown away with the make of E3 as he went down to Alan Photo to "try out". Guess this "harmless try" indeed poison him to the max! So HN at Funan does carry E3 and the 12-60mm lens? Surprised to see a consumer electronic store do stock up a professional camera model like E3 as i recalled a recent visit to HN Yishun for a casual walk do not make me notice that they have anything more than entry-level models. Will let my friend know about it... and not accompany him down for "window-shopping" as i do not want to get "poisoned". Have to say i miss Olympus alot after selling off my C5060 and E500....Have a good year ahead in new 08! |

HN Funan has the most stocks for all Olympus body and lenses. They have lenses which the other stores might not have. But of course, the price would be slightly higher.

Thanks again! Guess the ability to go installment is to forgo the price difference. I don't know and leaving this choice to my friend...
Imagine the response when i text the following message to my friend after i saw the earlier reply "Bro, HarveyNorman@Funan might have the cure 4 ur poison" "Making my way there out of my house in 5 minutes! Wish me luck!" is the reply i have got within a min after i have sent him the SMS.... Sadly, he ain an online person else i will show him this nice cozy corner of clubsnap which was once my hideout for some good time... Last edited by slacker; 31st December 2007 at 10:55 AM. |
