pentax mount for EOS body? help asap!

Yes, but I think it depends on what kind of Pentax lens - screw M42, manual K bayonet or the AF mount?

Via an adapter, the M42s and K bayonets are the most widely useable with control over focusing and apeture. I don't think an adapter exists for you to use an AF Pentax lens on an EOS mount and still retain full control.

Try Andrew/P&G, or Nic/cam.X. maybe OP.

If no avail, you can order directly from eBay. Cost: should not be more than $20. Here is one, reliable seller.

You'll have to be specific, is it an M42 screw or K bayonet mount when you look for an adapter. They are two entirely two different mounts, both with the Pentax prefix.

i asked my wife to call those reputable shops to inquire about PK to EOS adapter, but no one has it.

can some one please help me where i could find one?...

I don't see any PK to EOS adapter in that ebay store. Only M42 to EOS. I've got a Soligor 35-70 f2.5 I'd like to use on my 400D. Sian. Anyone know where to get the PK to EOS adapter?

I searched 'Pentax K to EOS adapter' and those were the results. Personally, I would choose those with an AF confirm chip.

If you sign in and then do a search, it throws up a lot more results.

If you want M42, then type in 'M42 to EOS adapter'.

No harm trying to see if it can be used as per above suggestions. But at f/8 and on the 400D's viewfinder, I'm afraid you're going to have a hard time getting pictures in focus. However if you're shooting small details in a landscape which doesn't move and can shoot test shots until one is in focus, then it's not much of an issue.

Hey thanks man, kopi sometime

My Soligor lens is a full manual lens. Shiok. Bo autofocus. Want to play with it for a while. Saw one shot taken with it (nikon mount) with a D80 online. Nice bokeh! Dunno where to get it cleaned up... maybe got slight fungus issue.

Should get non-AF confirm chip one or not ah. since its a full manual lens.

Get the one with the AF-confirm chip, even if it costs more. Reason is because it's not easy to manually focus a lens on a small VF with reasonable degree of accuracy, and the AF confirmation may help. Not sure if I read correctly at the site, but I think the chip helps to convey exif info and aids the ETTL flash metering as well.
