I hope you are not paying the ticket etc. If so, why?

Why are you paying for the ticket and flying halfway around the world to a place you dont even know if there is anything interesting to do?

You are heading half way around the world to a place you don't know the national language, you see historical and unusual buildings and alien landscape all around you, your first time there you get to experience the full cultural lifestyle all around you, maybe get lost abit...its like an adventure and you still am not sure what is fun to do? You got to be kidding heheh and you called SIngapore boring.

heheheh.... you sure you are into photography? It is not just about buying more gear or second gear while you are there...that is the time you should be thinking about the act of photography. If that is not fun..then what is? In any part of the world that is.... hiya. :P

Go to "la plus belle avenue du monde" (the most beautiful avenue in the world)
which is Champs-Élysées to watch French Lion Dancing while munching kacang.

You can just go to the public library and borrow a travel book about paris.

Not sure about the cam stuff in paris but when I was in london and rome, all the cam stuff I saw were much more expensive than those locally - whether new or used.

are you kidding me!! Paris..mon amour..the city of Romance!

even if you're not one of those culture junkies... there's LOTS you can do in Paris.. just to mention a few:

    1. Eiffel Tower (it's Paris!)
    2. L'Arc de Triomphe / Champs-Elysees
    3. The Louvre Museum (really huge you can spend a whole day here and you won't even see half of it)
    4. Underground Catacombs (underground tunnels where they placed thousands, even millions of corpses)

and these are only the more 'touristy' attractions..there's still so much more to do!

what i would give to go back there again
if my camera is there at the right moment, click, all I have to do is accept it.

In winter, if you are not well insulated against the cold, it might not be so fun. Make sure you have a nice light rain and wind proof jacket that can keep you warm in 0 degrees celcius temp, wool gloves and something to keep your head and ears warm, lip balm to keep your lips from cracking plus a good pair of walking shoes that will not get wet easily. A nice foldable umbrella is also a must. With all these, Paris in winter can be fun.
