Sudden Death of 2GB Lexar SD Professional 133x

Heads up everyone, I just experienced a SD card failure from the Lexar Professional series over the last week's trip to Bintan with NUS astro. The card fail to format a few times and eventually only managing to cover 478MB of memory. Good thing was, I did not use the card and it does not contain data. Can other users with such problems come forward so that we can see how widespread is the problem itself. Card Details : Capacity : 2GB Model Ref : 3408-2GBS A Serial : 0406B

heard of cases where 2gb cards inside contain only 1gb chip. Only replacing the labels outside.
