Default How to recover the corrupted photos from the XD card taken by FujiFilm S6500FD?

Recently I took a lot of photo during my visit in Hong Kong trip. I was using a 2GB XD card, most of my photos taken are able to preview in my DC but when I try to upload the photos to my computer, I am unable to view all my photo.
How to recover the corrupted photos from the XD card taken by FujiFilm S6500FD?
Appreciate those who can help.

The causes, the cost, what can be done, and how to prevent can be found in many forums. In fact, there is a very new thread discussing the issue.
There is no need to list the type of card, the brand, and the model. Most of the time, these problems are caused by human factors, and card readers.

Did you:

1) plug in the card into your computer directly or
2) connect the camera [with the card inside] to your computer?

Try method 2 if you are doing method 1.
