Hi Guys,
EastGear has launched the CD-2X2, a lithium ploymer battery pack capable of powering more than 1200 full flash on Olympus FL50 with a recycle time of around 1s. RRP is S$799 (US$530) and includes cable. We apologise that we have limited Olympus cables (2 sets). The promotional launch price is S$699 including the Cable for FL50 Flash. User Guide and Specifications Warranty is 6 months for the battery.

Ok peeps, prudence needed here - or else it'll be multiple trips to the service centre to replace the blown bulb! ![]()

Yes the Charger Devices CD-2X2 Power Pack has the Horse Power to fire the Flash on M mode 1/1 at every 1s – 1.2s.
Then again, that doesn’t means you should or will use M mode 1/1 every time. The likely time you will use at Full Power is during Group Shots, but then again, it is very unlikely that you will fire your Flash like machine guns. Let say you are covering an events or wedding, with TTL or M mode 1/8+ -, you will not loose any shots due to lack of constant supply of battery power to your flash.

It's the curse of digital - there will be those who will machine gun, just because they can (but normally a bulb replacement will straighten them out). Still, it's great performance at a great price!

Bought it, used it. All I can say that its 5 thumbs up! Awsum!!! Shot in a CC for 5 hours with bounce flash accessorised with flip it, and the 5 green light still remain 5 at the end of the day.

Sure there are cheaper battery packs out there, but this is currently the cheapest 2x2 out there (I think). ![]()

Think it means can power 2 flashes at one time.
Very tempted to go back to using battery pack for my flash. ![]() Last edited by cyrilng; 31st December 2007 at 01:14 AM. |
