Make sure you only try to open RAW files and not jpg files. RAW files are the ones that do not have an 'eye' symbol in the thumbnail displayed in the Library of Capture One.

So how does it compare with Oly Studio 2, Silkpix and ACR?

I don't have Studio 2, only Master 2. I don't like ACR at all for RAW processing of Olympus ORFs and usually uses either SilkyPix or Master 2.
Well, to my eyes, the colours generated by Capture One is more natural looking than either SilkyPix or Master 2 so far. The highlight/shadow control in Capture One is also better. I'm seeing less tendency to blow highlights in converting from RAW to jpg with Capture One. The conversion speed is also very fast as is the generation of the Library thumbnails.
