Default In the rain Macros

These were taken in the rain with umbrella at Fraser's hill......good thing...there are water drops to make it nicer.....bad thing....really cumbersome to shoot with umbrella!

FZ30+Raynox 250, F11, 1/30s, ISO80, 2 diffuse flash, Handheld

Outside at balcony
#1: Shield bug

#2: Closer view

#3: Longhorn beetle
The blue tinge at the water drop edges is the reflection of the underside of my umbrella.

#4: Close up

#5: Beetle (no umbrella...slight drizzle)

After all these, the rain stop for the next 2 days....so can shoot with greater comfort! Whew...

Very very good!

Can I ask if these are cropped or just resized?

Thanks guys! Glad you liked them!

hobbes187, yes, I cropped them to 5x7 or 7x5 mostly, to improve composition.

A great series as always! Like the details and great lighting setup.
My D80 with macro lens cannot give so much details with large DOF.
If I try to get closer with TC and ext. tube, DOF becomes shallow.

Fantastic. And you shoot it in the rain with an umbrella in your arm? Wow! Really respect you.

Hi Chuanye

All the shots are great, your setup is not only mobile but all weather too.

Unlike me, having half-day off but grounded at home, waiting for the rain to stop.

Thanks! I guess thats the pro with a prosumer camera with small sensor as it gives more DOF. But the IQ of DSLR will definitely be better, and allows for higher ISO to shoot.
