Default How many E-3 owners kept their E-1?

Just curious, how many E-3 owners kept their E-1?

Other than collection sake and "sentimental" reasons, is it worth keeping the E-1?

Really tempted to sell off my E-1 and buy the E-3.

I have kept my E-1 too.

I use the E-3 now as main camera body, but for daylight shooting or shoots with good lighting conditions, somehow I will reach for the E-1. The Kodak CCD is still rocks.

I still luv my E1. Getting use to carrying 2 bodies around, E1 with the 11-22 and E3 50-200 to make full use of the IS for the tele lens.

Thanks for the input, guess i will keep the E-1 around then.

It still is a great camera, despite non-olympus users mocking its mere 5mp. Oh well, what do they know

Other than the pro bodies of the Nikon n Canon, Olympus makes the next most afford and good pro body around w weatherproofing. I always smile to myself when my sweat beads fall on the camera or when it rains. It really gives u the confidence to shoot in all weather except underwater and sandstorms I guess.

i thought E-1 and E-3 can live through even in sandstorms?I saw an advertiment of E-1 being used in the desert in a sandstorm, the photographer i think fainted and was revived by some noman,he turn on his E-1 and kissed it somemore, lol,i used my friend's E-1 for a recent photoshoot,it was great despite it's 5mp,didn't care about the D300 next to me,lol

yup, saw that ad too. Cool but not realistic. Imagine the sand scratching the lens?

By the way, if you are referring to the E-1 ad, it is not a sandstorm... just heavy winds, that's all... no one on the planet will have the courage to be in the open desert during the sandstorm... it is quite scary...

For windy/sandy conditions, even the B+W MRC coating can survive that, much less the harder ZD lens coating. For those who might not know, the front element coating on the ZD High Grade lens is harder than the MRC coating. But still, don't try to be funny with it... LOL.

If a human being is in a heavy sandstorm, the camera might survive, but the person is definitely a goner. Think of it this way... getting rough sandpaper sanding you at high speeds all over... think you will live? That is a sandstorm bro. Not like a dust storm... totally two different things. I don't think any camera will survive... even metals can get "sanded" down. That is how scary things are... look at the Sphinx of Egypt... those were rocks, and the erosion from the sandstorms... you get it now?

If I get the E3, I will def still keep the E1. How much can you sell it for anyway? Might as well keep as back-up.
