fantestic capture ! nice bokeh of the boatman and super sharp jiao. I saw lots of documentaries about this activities, these birds are no fed for days and was kept in a cage. The fisherman then tie their neck with a string and bring them for "fishing". can't wait for the rest of the shots.

thanks boss, gavin and billy. billy u're right about the way they catch it but i'm not sure whether they actually starve the bird, but it catches the fish really fast!

The way they fish is to have a ring or fastener at the neck so that whe the fish is caught.. the bird dun manage to swallow it.. the fisherman then retrieve it for own consumption...

    Sprint : Great effort!!

yup spoton. we couldnt spot the fishes in the water but the person said the fishes were hiding beneath the weeds in the water hence hidden from view..the bird is really something to sniff them out!

    Taken from wiki:

No horse run! - (Hokkien - Bo bei chow) Original Hokkien expression used in horse racing jargon to describe a champion horse which is way ahead of the field. Used to describe things (food usually) which are ahead of its peers.
