I have recently done a event and have taken close to 500+ shots.
I was using my FL50 and had to change 12 AA batteries to complete the event. It started good and the recharge time was quick, but after a while, the recharge time took a while and I know the batteries were weak. So I had to change them each time I encountered problem. Could anyone recommend me a external battery pack that could sustain my FL50? Thanks. |

Hi Microosm,
Thanks for your advice. Are you referring to CHARGER DEVICES CD-2X2 for Canon 580EX? This is the only one i found on the Eastgear website. |

U can get:
SHV-1 -------- $950 FP-1 -------- $490 SHV-1 is highly recommended, cause im using it for 3 years. I have used Quantum but very troublesome because the cable position. Another way of making full use of your battery power is to shoot in manual mode and set your flash to manual mode and set the right guide number when taking group shots. i dare not say the FP-1 is a good battery pack but it sure beats Quantum at some reasons |

Yes, but instead of the Canon cable set, ask if they can replace with the ones for Olympus (FL-50/FL-50R). If not, just buy the battery itself and then get the cables from Quantum.
