You're on the right track.
Now go closer. What is it about the rain flowing down? Are you drawn to the movement of the rain? Are you drawn to the water droplets? Is there anything about the roof that strikes you? If it's the rain that's your subject what is taking away from it? Do you need to show the windows at the side? Do you need to show the sidewalk?

Thank u guys for the advise.. Yes im drawn to the movement of the water from the roof downwards. I wanted to go closer but water was splashing as the rain was heavy and i was afraid that my precious 1st dslr would get wet.. Also tried taking in normal exposure and the result seem a bit dull thus i +1/3. Will try to minimise other distracting things.. Thanks again...
