Hi, I'm new in this forum and had recently bought S5800. Anyone who has this camera, can share a review for me? Still trying it out.. and so far the night scenes are not very clear..
My initial idea is to purchase Panasonic FZ-18 but was 'conned' into buying this. With extra 2gb memory card + rechargeable batt + LCD protector + wide angle AF lens(0.38X) = total cost SGD $1124 from Bally in SLS... I think I was 'robbed' big time.. ![]() Oh well.. so any kind souls can share tidbits on how to shoot a clear night picture.. I'll try upload my pictures soon.. ![]() |

btw good night picture = (in general) low iso to avoid noise + long exposure to get the light on the sensor + tripod for stability during the exposure.. |

Maybe you can check up the price of wide angle AF lens(0.38X)? If it costs less than S$700, then I think you get con. Seriously, I think you shld go back and "kaopeh" wif them asap. Then u might wan to check out those customer rights protected by Singapore law, so that u can contact them for the "cheating". I really dun think it's worth buying $1000+ product for S5800. You could have get an entry level DSLR.

Yes what what the guy wrote check the price ofr the wide angle lens for your 5800. You can bring the case up if they are truely marking up the price but the best is still to do your homework before buying. 1k plus you might as well go for the entry level Oly DSLR with 14-52mm lens for some humble wide angle shootings.
