That is not thumb-strain; that is the custom built IS-T: Image Stabalisation Thumb.
Put thumb under tripod ring with outstretched fingers to stabalise lens - taken from the Chronicles of Dragon Art of Stable Photography Clan, Book 7, Chapter 9, Verse 21. |

nope, i dont see it that way. i think it is the smart way.
using comsumer grade lens on a pro body, now that is what a call waste. of cause, i am taking the photog out of the equation for the above examples.
