    Default Malay Aunty

Was at a malay friend's house attending his wedding, and did not have my cam with me so grab a friends D400 when i saw the opportunity to shoot this shot.... as i saw the top half of the photo in shadow and the light fall off nicely on the lady in yellow tudong.....

    well please give your critics..

    the setting are as followed
    1/40s
    F3.5
    ISO 1600

    D400?! or is it 400D?

    Nice shot, anyway. Very dramatic.

kind of feeling lack of focus, don't feel the subject stands out nicely here. Just my newbie feel. Might be better captured if move to the left and at a lower angle.

Reminds me very much of a renaissance painting, nice rich colours and great composition. You capture the sober mood of the occasion very well. Congrats!

Hhhmmmm, too cluttered for me. Feels like there is no central subject.

personally i feel you caught the "idea" but unfortunately not the timing of the subjects' attention..the angle may be better if more of the subjects' faces can be revealed.

here's a shot this photographer took, which i felt was very inspiring, hope it can inspire you too..
