MO: Nikon & Canon Lenses & Flashes

Hi folks,

This is a tagged on MassOrder for the Nikon and Canon Lenses. There will NO minimum orders from members of Clubsnap. All ordered stock will arrive SG and distribution will begins on the 14th January 2008.

My supplier have already confirmed stock availability for the following listed items. Those not listed would either means that there are no stock or it is not worth for this MO. I'll update on this thread should any new stock arrival during this period until the close of this MO. I do notice that prices of certain items are on the high side. This is confirmed by the supplier is due to price-hike due to popular demands as the stock is very low as of current. You have the option not to join this MO due to the high price, and likewise, I also do have the option for not selling to you also, so please do not leave negative remarks on this thread. For this I beg fellow CSer's understanding in advance.

Payment will be via Internet Banking to my POSBank Savings account. I have to collect payment in full before making the order this is because I need to pay the supplier before the stock arrives. For lenses, it will be personally checked by myself or by one of my photographers together with me. If the item cannot pass my standard, it will not be even drawn stock from my supplier. In rare cases that there is a shortage of that particular model and the reserved piece failed my standard, I'll refund every cent you pay with a small free gift to compensate your lost of time in waiting. But will be personally comunicated to you in advance on the status if ever such unfortunate event did crops up. However if anyone cannot trust me on this, please do not order from me.

Payment details will be sent once this MO is confirmed. Last day to accept any orders will be on the 25th December 2008. And last day for payment will be on the 28th December 2007. This is to be sure that all ordered items can reach SG by the above collection date as I also need time to consolidate all orders and submit to my supplier.

All items are Brand New with 1 Full Year Warranty by the respective local Service Centres unless otherwise stated. All box & accessories that deemed to come with the new items will be included, with Receipt & Warranty Cards provided.

was initially keen on a pair of harbeth speakers which are much cheaper in hk(by a thousand plus) but now i've settled for something that i bought in sg just yesterday.

Think you got mixed up.

i. AFS24-70 f/2.8G ED
ii. AFS28-70 f/2.8D ED

The above, both are full frame lenses

i. AFS17-55 f/2.8G ED DX -
Is a 'APS' or DX lenses designed for the camera body with 1.5x crop factor.

Nikon abbreviation/symbol's meaning
DX - Digital Format lens, designed for 1.5x crop camera body. In general, these lenses have a small rear element and when mounted on a Full-Frame body, will have a vignetting effect.
D - Stands for lenses with a 'Distance Chip' built-in. 'D' lenses will also come with a aperture ring for backward compatible with older film camera bodies like FM2, etc
G - Stands for 'geld' where G-Lenses does not have the aperture ring. However 'G' will still have the 'Distance Chip' built-in just like 'D' Lenses.
ED - Stands for 'Extra-low Dispersion glass'. It is one of the element built-in the lens to correct some CA issues and also improves image quality. Lenses with ED element will produce more contrasty pictures. Previously only the high-end Nikkors will have ED elements, however in recent production, almost all the newer Nikons lenses models have this element built-in.
VR - Stands for 'Vibration Reduction'. This is a precise electronic component to counter movement from viberation caused by handheld. The common term known is Image Stabilisation Technology.
AF - Auto-focus lenses. Designed with a spindle to move the elements in the lens to focus. Required to have a AF motor built-in on the camera body to drive this spindle. Currently, only the D40 & D40X camera body does not have this AF motor built-in
AFS - Auto-focus lenses with a AF Silent-Wave motor built-in. AF is achieve by moving the internal element via Ultra-sonic wave inside the lens. These lenses does not require the camera's AF motor drive, unlike AF lenses.
