Default CCD cleaning for F30

I'd like to find out if any fellow forumers did any CCD cleaning at the service centre? How much to clean up the CCD? Thanks!

The servicing charges at Fuji is quite high. For general CCD cleaning on their S Pro series DSLRs is already close to $100. Keep in mind that they will have to dismantle your F30 to access the CCD. They will charge you additional for labour.

happen to me twice already. It merged in the background at F2.8, gradually appearing till F8. The grey spot very big, visible on the camera lcd when playback.

Camera still under warranty, first time they just said cleaned ccd no charge. second time also cleaned ccd no charge but got indicated "goodwill for this time only".

The dirty ccd reappear less 3 month after the first cleaning. Hope it will not appear again. The service centre have no idea why the ccd can get dirty.

Also got one white dust speck inside the lens at the center but the service center said cannot clean, have to replace the len module which they said not covered by warranty. I have another brand camera also has dust inside the lens which was replaced under warranty.

Where do you use and place your camera at? Sounds like you use your camera at a construction site.

Do take note that non-dslr CCD and lens internally can get dirty if the camera is used in dusty/sandy environments; and without exterior cleaning before retracting the zoom lens, the dirt buildup can even damage the gears and/or other moving parts.
Under normal usage and maintenance, they should not be dirty so easily and frequently.

The service guy must be very nice to you to clean the CCD free for so many times. He uses his salary to cover up? Else how to answer for the loss in the service charges?
