Exclamation Someone help me to I.D. this Opera face mask..

I know this is weird.. but would someone who's knowledgeable in Chinese Opera(?) explain to me the meaning of the design on this mask? Like, what does it symbolize?

Thanks a lot for the help! =)

red is commonly used to describe devotion, courage bravery, uprightness and loyalty. for example, guan yu. but this doesnt look like his design.

if you're looking for basic explanation this may help http://baike.baidu.com/view/60785.htm

if you're looking for something more specific, it may be difficult then. sometimes the mask of the same character may be painted differently by different people.
