Personally I prefer B&W version. With the color version, my eyes have the tendency to be distracted to colorful objects like the yellow plastic bag on the left and the red one in the middle, etc.

yeah b/w works better for me
but the contrast between the sky and the sea is very little. i guess it's always like that in b/w? |

I think color looks better. It makes every person standing there unique to the other. BW seem to make them 'the same'.

The colour version works better. The space leading to the fishermen makes the picture. Its rain-washed surface looks better in colour (I would actually compose bottom 2/3 as the surface instead), so too does the sky at the background, which in BW, merge flat with the foreground.
