Default Thai Kids

Was in Hatyai, Thailand and chanced upon these kids. I took a candid shot at first which turned out horribly, but to my surprise when I motioned for a second shot they just posed naturally. Had all of 2 seconds to take this shot before passers-by walked past.

I like this shot very much. Technically it my be flawed, lack of detail due to poor lighting etc, and alot of cropping and esposure editing was done. But I just can't get past the sweet innocence of the kids, and every single one of them is such a gem. I don't even particularly love kids!

For those who are wondering, the "whitish" patch along the top of the photo is because there was a looming florescent lamp just above where i cropped. That was the main headache I had with this photo, the boy second from right was almost washed out because he was the only one behind the light, and the white dog he is holding is beyond hope. *sigh*

Thanx for viewing.

I like this shot very much, too!

Never cared much for technical perfection, it's the expression and the moment that always mattered to me - and you caught it!

PS the composition is very nice, too. Triangular with the apex in the left one third.

Whatever you've done, I don't think the end result below is flawed, technical or otherwise.
Joy, innocence, spontaneous all oozing from the photo, what other details do u want?
Great job!

oh wait, although this is travel related, this probably fit another sub-forum better...

thanx guys, glad u enjoyed it like i do!

streetshooter:

yeah i cropped it in a way that kinda, as u said, "thirds rule".

but u know when i shot it i just didn't have time to think about all that.. i just need to do it fast! guess i was lucky that it turned out this way, but like i said, quite a bit of work needed to be done.

thanx for the comments!
