Interactive Learning
In conjunction with the Greek Masterpieces from the Louvre exhibition

It’s All Greek to Me!
9 Dec 2007 – 16 Mar 2008, Entrance of Exhibition Galleries, Basement
Admission to exhibition applies.

It’s All Greek to Me! are specially designed spaces for you to interact with the exhibition. Choose to don ancient Greek costumes of the peplos, himation and chiton or play a round of backgammon. Alternatively, be a part of our Great Greek Epic and contribute to this public art display.


Curator's Tour
Greek Sculptures: The Classical Ideal and Its Influence
by Szan Tan, Curator, National Museum of Singapore
Meeting Point: Entrance of Exhibition Galleries, Basement.
Date: 29 Feb 2008 & 7 Mar 2008
Time: 7pm
$15 inclusive of exhibition admission
Single price ticket - no concession
Limited to 15 pax

A special curator-led tour of the Greek Masterpieces from the Louvre exhibition. Visitors will get insights on the sculptures that formed our understanding of the classical ideals of the male and female forms. Also learn how the styles of sculptors of the 5th to 4th centuries BCE influenced later development in the Western art.



Ancient Greeks Alive!
An Interactive Tour for Children aged 5 to 9 years

Children will be delighted by the fascinating characters from ancient Greece whom they will meet in the Greek Masterpieces from the Louvre exhibition. Hurry and beat the crowd - register your child early as limited spaces are available!

Meeting point for all tours will be at the entrance of Exhibition Galleries. Tours are subject to the availability of volunteer guides and limited to 15 participants per will be about 45 to 90 minutes.

Anyone able to take pics in the exhibition? Website says photography is allowed in the museum (w/o flash or tripod), but when i went for the exhibition they say no photography allowed. Or is it disallowed just for the Greek exhibit?

No photogrpahy allowed for The Greek & others oversea exhibits.
Saw the info from some websites.
