Default Pros & cons on E10 and E20

I am interested to get myself a E20 or E10.

May I know what the pros and cons of E20 as compare to C5050?

Can any E10 or E20 owner post some photo taken with E10 or E20 using high ISO like.....ISO400.

Thanks

That may be too much to ask for......the E10/20 only has ISO from 80 to 320.

Perhaps you may want to check out the various online reviews first.

Some of the pros of E20 over C-5050Z, would be the TTL viewfinder, the focal length of 4X, focusing, etc...

Yes I find it grainy at that ISO. What is the price of a new E-10 now? I thought of selling mine.

Personally, I like the E-10/20 because it's SLR like, not just in looks. It's viewerfinder is optical not EVF like Coolpix 5700 or F717, and it "looks" through the lens via a mirror behind the lens, just like a SLR. though it cannot change lens.

Though I heard the writing time for the camera is very long (even with a fast CF), so after you take a shot, may have to wait a long time before you can take another. Not too good for sports, action or fashion shows.
(That's unfortunately, why I did not get a E-20P, to me it's a serious flaw, but it's image results are good though.)

P.S. Not wanting to crash E-10 or E-20 sales, but I feel when Olympus release their 1st DSLR based on the 4/3 system.
The price of E-10 and E-20 may suffer a hit.
Date of release is Sept 2003

about the price part i don't think so. Both of the systems are of different types. one is a non interchangagle lense and another is a changable ones....

but we still have to wait to see wat happens

yes, I am aware. It's just that, I rememeber asking abt the E-20P several months back when the D60 is like $3888, I think I was quoted $2500++ or so.

Now that the D60 is only $2k+ and 10D is out @ $2700+, I wonder what's the current price of a E-20P?

If the 4/3 DSLR is going to be lower than the 10D, to try and pull some supporters...

Then the lower the 4/3 DSLR gets, the lower the value of a non-interchangeable E-20P will get.

For me, my 717 also drop by abt $200 just barely 4 months old.
I think by the time I sell it next year. It may only fetch $600-700 maybe.

actually a camera if you really wanna get one should not consider it's resale value.... cause most likley if i bought a E-20 when it just came out i could use it for about 4 yrs or even more?

That's how i think.... maybe you would differ....

but prices YES will falll we can't do anything about it.

i wonder how much is the E-10 / E-20 new right now....

Not sure if you still can get E-10 brand new since it's an older model.

Any one knows the current price of a brand-new E-20P?

Wonder if it's below $2K now?

I would suggest that you get the E20 rather than the E10...

Anyway, just my worthless 2 cents opinion... the final decision is still will be made by you...

I have already gotten a F717.

Just curious to know the current price of a E-20P cos it's like $2500 back in Jan or Feb 2003.

Wonder how much has the 10D and D100 price slash affected it's price.
