Just imagine a laptop (or desktop) connected to the camera via a cable. The cable will be quite long (about say 1.5m?) so that the photographer can move about with the camera. The image will appear on the computer screen once the shot is taken. That's tethered shooting.
Hope you can "picture" what it means... or you are asking for something more in depth...

ooo....so the pictures will appear immediately on the laptop after the photographer has snapped the pictures right? macam 'Live' view eh? sounds cool.. but a bit ex lah...

I find it useful when u have the space and room to work with. The use of bigger screen to see things is useful, as the display on the camera is small.

Tethered shooting is meant for working in a studio mainly, although you can still shoot tethered outdoors. Last edited by photobum; 22nd December 2007 at 01:56 PM. |
