Default Pulau Ubin -the commoner's version

Hey

Thought it would be nice for me to contribute some images here. Of course, nothing fancy, since this was just taken from a lowly user-friendly, idiot-proof digicam.

So how is it for my virgin shot, trying to pretend to be a professional photographer?

Good enough to steal your rice bowls?

OUCH, ok ok, stop hitting me (hehe); enjoy the images below:

Hehehe, thank you for your comments

Yeah, keeping in mind that I'm armed with my Kodak digicam, I snapped the images just the way they are

And this, the nice uncle was explaining to us group on what he is doing. Those greenish thingy you see? It is actually herbs that he grows and sell oversea for like hundreds for a KG of them; says to improve the health, for the liver or something. My apologies to him, I wasn't really listening but busy shooting him But one thing I do remember, he mentioned that he cooks them for sale on Sundays, so do remember to drop by his place for a bowl; he claimed that it tastes real good!

Hi night86mare

Much thanks to your comment.

Yes, I has wanted to "take my time " too..

We were all cycling and I had to keep stopping for pictures. By the time I took out my cam, everyone was not in sight. Had to juggle my shoulder bag (dumb me for not using a backpack instead), the bicycle while wearing poncho (HAHAHA!) and fighting my wild imagination away.

All alone, dark and creepy; So eerie, especially after hearing stories from the construction worker by the hut.

Oh, I forgot to mention that it was raining when I was there.

And the sign that says: German Girl Shrine gave me the goosebumps!

Yup yup, I went to yahoo on it. Interesting but weird.

So many other people died on that island before, maybe she was the first to, that's why with the shrine.

It's said that she blesses people with luck, with 4D winners swearing by it.

=P

Well, I would say Pulau UBIN is not for the faint-hearted. Haha, but it sure is a nice place, away from the city life. It was my first visit there, and I was such a tortise, wowing here and there. Us "urbaners" should bring the younger generations there to experience life in a different way.

maybe. i don't believe in the paranormal.

ubin used to be a step back to the 70s and 80s before they revamped it.

Yeah, if only things there were kept in its most orginal state, it'd be so awesome!

Paranormal, well, each to his own. But I do have strange happenings once in school while playing this little kiddo game, loosely translated from Chinese, "Pencil Spirit". LOL!

Yes SolBadGuy

I did, but i have not recovered from my trip though. What with the hours of cycling and battling with the rain, I am still feeling so drained out.

Hehe, yup yup, I think I'd prefer images like this. And I am trying to do a simple shoot with my model this weekend. Hehe... of course, not professionally done, I would like to take it as, erm, "the commoner's version".

Thanks for sharing....don't worry too much and you will learn through time....firstly IMO posting your picture in 640x480 or 800x600 would be more pleasant for viewer...320x240 is a little too small for today's std

Much thanks to your kind words.

Well, the reason behind it is, LOL, like so embrassing posting images like mine. As compared to you pros out there, of course, can't post too huge an image. . .
