hi all, i am a new member to this forum as one of my sister's friend introduce it to me . . i just started taking photos and get to know with DLSR about two months ago ... found it preety interesting . aight i have one photos for you guys to critique . first of all , sorry if its not good . as i am a really really green bean in photography world . ... thanks before guys . looking forward to hear from you guys ..
here is the link to my photo http://flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=2071531694&size=l Photo information . it was taken at 7:45 PM ( as sunset in sydney started about 7:30 - 8++ ) with ISO 100 and F11. at Dover Heights. i was waiting about an hour plus to get all the light to be up . nothing much has been done with editing, just light contrast+ frame ... once again thanks b4 . glad to be here ![]() |

welcome to CS....
personally I find it would be good if .. you crop away the bottom, make it a 1:3 panoramic make the sky more dramatic and the vignette effect too artificial. |

Nice panoramic layout.
Foreground could be a bit brighter..maybe use a graduated filter?

vignette = that black thingy around your pic. Too fake. remove it. A simple white border around it is enough. Like postcards.
Crop away the bottom part so that attention is drawn towards the background and not the foreground. Using PS, select curve and play around until the sky looks more dramatic. All in all, it's a good job for a newbie!!! |

got a feeling the bottom is burnt instead... cos the burst on lower right seem to be exposed nicely... probably he could show the original instead.

hi quiks, i think you got to learn how to embed the picture into the thread. the tips are here -> http://forums.clubsnap.com/showthread.php?t=94574
basically you need to enter it like this [IMG]image url[/IMG] and do note that the image url needs to end with a ''.jpg'' in order to work, like this ![]() you can quote this message to see how it's done.
