Unhappy Can't find film scanner!

Need to archive my old films and plan to get a film scanner, anyone can advise where can i get it in town?
tried searching SLS the whole afternoon but none of them sells dedicated film scanner, only AP at L1, but those r pro model which costs at least $600+.
i'm looking for one which can scan 1800-2400dpi. r those flatbed 2 in 1 scanner good enough if the dpi matches? the price is much cheaper than dedicated one.
for 8R print, what's the appropiate dpi i shall look for?
