Macro lenses vs telephoto lenses ?
Are they the same thing ? which is better if I want to take close up of insects or flowers ? |

No they are not the same. Macro lens gives you magnification, telephoto gives you zoom.
You'll need macro lens since you want to take close-up pictures. |

Macro = Magnifying glass
Telephoto = Binoculars Many telephoto lenses are macro capable. If they are not you can use a macro filter on them. |
