you have a budget?

what is the weight of equipment you will be putting on the it?

how will you be bringing it along during your travels? (check-in? carry-on?)

Gitzo monotrek or traveler... but they are rather thin... monotrek comes with a small ball head as well.

I quite like Slik Propod 600. 600g, extends pretty high (1.6m), folds quite small (53.5cm) and sturdy construction. Have been using it for a couple of years and no complaints.

Is it allowed to hand carrry monopod? (Not sure )

The reason i asked is to try to avoid bringing tripod during my trip.....
