I just went to Sim Lim Square and buy another original Nikon ENEL3e battery for spare.
Also check with Alan Photo and some other shops. Confirm there with a few other compatible batteries. None can work. Anyway thanks...just wonder why your's can work... |

The rest of my 5 or 6 are originals and obviously no problem. |

Is this the batt you are referring to ??.
http://www.eastgear.com/shop/popup_i...ID=632&image=0 It was designated CD-ENEL3e and not EG-ENEL3e as you had mentioned but is from Eastgear. Unless it is the new one or different model then I am not sure. |

This third party charger is going to take 2 hours instead of 1 hour using the Nikon charger to charge the battery.
I concur, I also bought the third party Nikon battery from Eastgear and it's designation is EG-ENEL3e and not CD-ENEL3e. Since you've just bought the EG-ENEL3e from Eastgear, maybe Eastgear is getting another bad batch of EG-ENEL3e. I changed the EG-ENEL3e twice at Eastgear and had to wait for the next new batch as the battery went flat after putting into my D200 just after charging. HTH.

I think compatible battery can still power up or work for D200. But not the D300 in most case. |

Bro, that is a portable charger for EN-EL3e, that you can use by plugging into a car's cigarette lighter slot.

Anyone knows whether EN-EL3 and EN-EL3a can be used with the D300? I know the manual says you can't because you won't get the battery info, but will there be any other adverse effects if you do use it?

I think without the center info terminal (S), D300 will take it as "wrong" battery and indicates as very low batt.
Got batt work fine with D70 but can't work with D300 even with the center info terminal (S) . |
