How about 35/1.4? Anyway, you can use the non-G, non-DX AF lenses on FM2 also.

What are you planning to shoot? 24 f/2.8 is one of the best Nikkor you can get if you plan to shoot a lot of landscape.

Nobody likes the AIS 28mm f/2.8?

If looking for a pancake lens, the new Cosina Voigtlander 40mm f/2 may be easier to find than the Nikkor 45 f/2.8. Haven't used either, so just saying.

50mm is a pretty standard lens to have for a 35mm since it approximates the view of humans quite closely. Again it really depends on what you are more likely / inclined to shoot

I have used both. In short, the Nikkor 45P is based on the 4 element/3 group Carl Zeiss Tessar design and the Voigtlander is not.

• Flare control-wise, the Nikkor is better (even better than the Contax Carl Zeiss 45mm f2.8 T*).
• Sharpness-wise, both the Voigtlander and the Nikkor are about equal
• Colors-wise, the Voigtlander is softer (very Leica like). The Nikkor is a bit more saturated.
• Contrast-wise, again the Voigtlander is softer. The Nikkor is a bit more contrasty.
• Build-wise, the Nikkor is slightly better. The aperture blades are perfectly rounded. The Voigtlander is a bit more hexagon-shaped.
• Look-wise, since the Nikkor 45P I used is silver in color, it looked more 'retro' compared to the all-black Voigtlander.
• Focal length-wise, the Voigtlander is a tad-bit wider, but not so much as to get noticed.
