Hot Shoe Cover

Does anyone knows where to get a hot shoe cover for 1D M3?

Get the generic Nikon one. I use it on my 30D. For unit with a pop-up flash, you will not be able to pop up the flash, but for 5D and 1D it doesn't matter.

Thanks does the Nikon version fit well into the 1D as in fully covering the hot shoe?

I remember that all hotshoe are of the same size.

for 1D mk3 and 40D
cause of the hotshoe shape, smth to do with the water proof shape
the usual nikon hot shoe cover will not be able to fit perfectly into it.
unlike on the rest, like a 5D, 30D 20D etc.

pls let me know if i am wrong.

i have a nikon n a canon. the cover doesnt fit.

How is the 40D hot-shoe different from all the other hotshoes, that doesn't allow the cover to fit?

no idea. maybe its the cover? i wonder do nikon use a standard hotshoe cover.

They do. Hot shoes are all the same shape and size usually. What differentiates them are the contact pins.

then cannot fit. it gets stuck halfway.
