Default Cycling : Swss Valley Team Time Trial 18th Nov

Some photos I took on Sunday, 18th November, for the Team Time Trial competition at Changi Coastal Road.

Straight out of camera except with a little cropping and resizing and that was it.

Thanks, but can't really help it as they were riding round the corner in a group.

I've actually cropped out a bit of the left already.

If no digital enhancement is involved then it is simply slow shutter speed combined with simple physics. The last rider is approaching the camera at a slow speed, hence is not blurred; the rest are riding across the frame, hence they are blurred.

Yes, shutter speed was slow......

But you're not quite correct. They were all approaching the corner and turning through the corner at almost the same speed. Nobody was significantly faster or slower than the others.

KangS is right, Leong. =) The reason that the last rider is looking more 'frozen' is the fact that he is 'approaching' towards the camera, whereas, the other are moving past it. And we all know the an approaching object/subject will require lesser speed (shutter) to freeze'em then those moving across. Back to basics! =)

PS: BTW KangS, that shot of Kevin might get him DQed... hahaha!!!

Darn the early morning fingers. I got it wrong but I alluded to the riders moving across the frame while the last one was moving toward the camera. No intention to say that the last rider is slower than the rest, but in 2D, the speed they move across the frame does put the last man as slowest.
