    Default My Food My Life

Thought of just sharing some happy moment captured while satisfying my stomach.

    Asparagus bacon roll.

Claypot chicken rice with salted fish.

German sausage (yes, these are sausages) with potato in vinegar.

    German curry with bread.

Thristy? No no, you don't drink water in Germany.

I think the "original" Hong Kong café name for these is 'Yin Yang'.

yah yin yang in cantonese, yuan yang in mandarin.
I tot it's more appropriate to put mandarin instead of cantonese in sg forum. kekeke.

    Thanks!
Other than the 3 German food taken with LX2 with flash,
others taken without flash. Trying to capture natural light amap,
but still got problem with consistent color tone, need to buck up!

I think you are doing very well for street food photography. I am trying to learn this too....but most of the time I find that the lighting isn't bright enough and I may have to shoot with high ISO and then do noise reduction.....if I use f1.8 (using 50 f1.8 most of the time), then some pic will loose DOF....sigh.

Care to share how you overcome this?

    Thanks.

I seldom use anything larger than 2.8.
For DOF, I try to take at a further distance then crop to what I want, hence all the pic here you saw is after cropping
I have noise issue too, while I was using the LX2, max ISO i use 400, for D70s, I use max 800. But now with D300, I can boost to 1600-2000, with 4R size, all these still usable.
Sometimes the light really cannot make it, I will get permission from the restaurant owner to shift the food to a brighter location to take.
Normally they will agree... (Mayb they thought it's some kind of food review )

    Hope this help.

Thanks scaredcloud for the tips and sharing.

Food review? May be you can give your comments on the food when you post the pics here too.
