Default What is the lowest shutter speed you can handheld without using VR?

Let's roll the drum....

For me it is 1/4 sec if I don't drink coffee that day. If I drink coffee, it is 1/8 sec.
I was using a Nikon 80-200 f2.8 AFD and the images came out tack sharp.

No.... I am a full-time photographer. However, I love to play "Pick-Up Sticks" with my siblings when I was younger.

Depends on which body I use.. (yes, the mirror slap and the weight makes a whole lot of difference!!) Can be anything from 1/4" to 1/15" at 200mm.

I am using a Fuji S5 Pro or Nikon D200 with MB-D200. I can do similar shutter speeds with a Nikon F4s also.

You might be able to do better with D2X.

D70s cannot make it..

The 'balance' of the lens is very important too. I cannot handheld at such shutter speeds if I use a 18-200 with VR switch off.

You'll probably get a useable image but it would be very hard to believe you can get it to be tack sharp.

1/4 at 200mm is super steady leh. I think my best around 1/50 for 200mm
