Collecting my D300 on the 21st, hopefully....

Retail Body only should be around S$2700, so actual price maybe around S$2400 or lower, fingers and toes crossed.

hello guys, may i know what does preorder means? is it something like calling up a local shop and tell them to reserve a set for me when it's available? and normally how much do i have to pay for deposit?

i dont think they pay any deposits.. preorder usually means you tell the shop you want to get, when the stocks arrive, they call you and you go down and buy it.

Judging from teh A700 selling around 2200 body only.
Hopefully D300 will price less than 2500.

I think you'll have to pay very close to retail on the first few days, wait just a week or two and you can save a few hundred $. From what I heard, there is ample stocks of the D300 coming, it is the D3 which is coming in minute quantity.

Thanks. But my D80, I've got it on the first day when it was available, the price did not change much till a year later.

Heard too that there are ample D300s, Lord's only have 5 D3s for sale. Might be tempted to... Wishful thinking

called a couple other shops besides CP and they indicated first of Dec for the arrival of D300s .... who is correct??

I think CP can't be too wrong. Maybe the other shops not getting it so soon or they not very sure? Which shops are those BTW?

I think all the camera shops very happy when their D300 stocks arrive.... ka-ching!
