Haha, all these pics brought back some memories of my venture into audio some 15yrs ago - got some "entry-level" stuff. Now, I play everything from a cheapo DVD player, with a AV amp and 5speakers for home-theatre.

Come to think of it, photo gear so much cheaper than audio. In audio, you pay big bucks for that sound to listen to passively. In photo, it's your skills that counts. There is so much to learn, to improve. Some good satisfaction in creating some nice pic.

Haha, same situation here. Audio equipment are extremely non spouse friendly , espeically when positioned for a good soundstage imaging.......

You better than me.. now most of the time I play thru my altec lansing computer speakers..

Too lazy to wait for my tube amps to warm up.. and cannot force myself to change camp to ss..sigh..

Anyway now I have the gears but cannot afford the space to play hifi.. no dedicated room and no speakers positioning freedom anything also keh.. sighhh.. that's why turning my attention back to photography these few years..

Yes.. hifi gears can hv very silly price tag.. but skill does count though.. experienced audiophiles can make good sound out of simple setup, just like experienced photogs can take good pics out of simple camera.. but hifi is more anti-social kinda hobby.. you close the door and enjoy it on your own.. unlike photography can hv more interaction with family and others..
