Warranty only cover mfg defects, does not cover wear & tear and mis-use |

The warranty will help to cover for workmanship. Case is only $20 for the front and $20 for the back.

it shouldn't cost too much to repair the camera if the only damage was to the casing. IF the lens assembly/circuit boards were damaged, then it is another matter...

1) if it is not too inconvi, send (camera and warranty) back here to ur friend. 2) Tell ur friend ur reserve price for the repair. 3) Ask your friend to go repair @ fujifilm. Request for quotation. 4) If they cannot provide the quote, request a call from them b4 performing the repair. 5) When the call comes with the quote, ur friend will make the programmed decision on the repair. Good luck. ![]()

There will still be service charges for these kind of misuse problems ($60?) Don't forget the battery cover and even holder, which are dented in (Another $40?) Also cannot power on? (Another amount?) TS, just send the camera back to your friend to bring to fujifilm for servicing. They will give you or your friend the quotation. Then decide. |

The quote was for a out of warraty camera that was dropped by my collegue, and he was told that the workmanship can be waived if his camera was still under warranty.
For Sony, if you drop your camera, you only have to pay for the part while workmanship is free, but of course this is Sony. |

But if no more warranty, would it be simpler just go to Fujifilm UK for repair? U still have to pay anyway...
