Default Finally! A f/2.8 ultra wide zoom for crop sensor cameras

Finally a manufacturer has decide to come out with a constant f/2.8 zoom lens for Canon & Nikon crop sensor camera.

    Tokina AT-X 116 Pro DX

This is one focal range all crop sensor camera had lacked of a large aperture lens. I wonder how this Tokina lens will fare in the image quality department I think this could be a winner for Tokina, as both Canon and Nikon or any other 3rd party does not have a similar lenses with constant f/2.8 yet. Maybe others will follow suit soon

    quite expensive the list price.

Seriously, even if the 12-24 f4 and this 11-16mm cost the same, I will still get the 12-24mm f4. I much prefer the 24mm than f2.8. Why you need f2.8 for WA in the first place?

It'll be useful for indoor ambient light photography. I'm interested. Waiting for end December!

Also announced is the 35mm F2.8 Macro. 52mm filter thread.
Finally announced something Oly users already have hehe (zuiko 35mm F3.5 macro).
