Your sensor (not LCD) might have a dead pixel if it cannot be cleaned. Does it appear on all your photos? If sensor pixel is dead, you need to replace the sensor, if under warranty it should be free.

Possibilities

1. Dust on lens element (usually turns out as blur spot though)
2. Dust on sensor (should NOT get bigger when zooming to telephoto)
3. Dead pixel on sensor (should NOT get bigger when zooming to telephoto)
4. Dead pixel on LCD (should NOT get bigger when zooming to telephoto and also will not appear in photos)

What you describe does not quite fit any of the above, except possibly 1 if the spot is blurrish. It could be an inside element.

Canon CSC...

if TS is zooming in the to view the picture on the LCD, the spot will get bigger. on the other hand, while shooting, If he use optical zoom, den it wont get bigger else if digital zoom, it will.

I have no idea. sorry. Why not give CSC a call or bring it there for them to evaluate since its still under warranty. One of my friend got a brand new P&S for free after his old camera (warranty expired) goes beyond repair. I really dunno how he can get it for free.

Ur lens element got dirt. May be you could see it if you shine your lens with tourch light. Anyway, just send in your cam to canon to service will do.
