Hi all, I need some C&C on this pic... Want to try shooting things around the house like toys so went to dig out some stuff to shoot. This is a pic of my toy Subaru R2 taken in a light tent.
Settings at ISO800, F5.6, 1/30. I have some questions I hope to hear some views on: 1) Is this picture is considered noisy? Seems to me there are some noise particularly in the shadow of the car. 2) Is the overall colour/saturation ok? 3) Is the DOF ok? 4) Anything else to improve on? ![]()

noise level is acceptable
not much to say abt color, well not much color in the first place dof is subjective, imo too much. think would be better to see the entire car. the focus seems to be on the right side of the car screen. |

Looks like a pretty good product shoot!
One thing though, I would prefer the shadow not to be in front of the toy but at the sides. It feels rather imbalanced for the shadow to be in front.

Yeah you are right! After you mention it then I realised it would look much nicer with the shadows on the side. Anyway I'm planning to redo the shoot again using a macro lens and a lower ISO rating. I didnt realise the ISO was 800 when I shot it...

yes redo the shot since ur usin a light tent. best to have a tripod. lower iso and up shutter speed up aperature and use timer mode or a remote to avoid any shakes, and i think u can up the exposure abit
