Yatlapball,

I personally think they are practicing for an approved official event.

Such formation display are approved at the highest level.

Being there done it !

CYRN,

Was the for most of my life , I think my aircraft recognition might not be as good as it used to be ..... but still good.

Cheers!

Saw the Black Knights F16s were practicing there a couple of weeks ago. Think its for the Singapore Aerospace next year. But then they were just flying around in the triangle formation all the time. Maybe this is another part of the display.

The organizer for the Aerospace show decided to move its show to Hongkong. This is the Singapore Airshow.

From Singapore Airshow site

Most likely, they are practicing for The Singapore Airshow which is replacing the Aerospace Show that had moved to Hongkong.

Heard all exhibition space has all been been taken up since beginning of the year, and the show will be bigger in scale than the former Singapore Aerospace show.

cheers!

Oh, thought the old airshow was called Asian Aerospace...which had moved to HK. The new Singapore show, I am not sure exactly the name, thought it is Singapore Aerospace. Whatever the name, hope the new show will be a success and provide us with lots of opportunities to capture some great images.

The Singapore Black Knights seems not to be a permanent standing team. Some years, they just disappear and the pilots goes back to regular units. then some years, the performance team is reorganised and trained to perform.

I think the F-16 Black Knights are practising for the Singapore Airshow next year. All the Black Knights F-16 are already fully painted in the Black Knights colours. I can see them practising from my work site in Jurong Island almost every other days. They have been practising their formation flying and acrobatics over the southern islands, so I had a very good view

Yep. The Black Knights are not a permanent team. Previously it was the Skyhawks, and now it has been taken over by the F-16. Once the Black Knights has finished their performance for all the events they were scheduled, the airforce would gradually start to repaint the aircraft back to their normal colours.

I think the crewchief would rather ao maintenance on a normal coloured aircraft, then one painted in the red and white of the Black Knights
