Sigma upgrade for 10D

Just a note to say that my Sigma 105mm 2.8 EX Macro lens has been successfully upgraded (free of charge) to be compatible with my 10D. There is now one less reason to keep my D30.

I had to go down twice, though, because they had rechipped it with the wrong chip yesterday. The lens refused to allow the camera to open up the aperture to f2.8. It only went to f4.5. Now it can go from f2.8 to f45 (yes, that's right - f45). Whee!

Say...what's the procedure to get the chip upgraded? I'm not using the 10D but might just drop the macro lens in for upgrading if its convinent

Borrow someone's 10D, fix it to your lens, make sure it's NOT working, then show it to them. They are in Bukit Merah, next to Canon Singapore. Tel 62739622.

oh they've moved?!!!

then it would be so easy for them to re-chip it and borrow a 10D from Canon next door to test...

how old a lens can they re-chip, would anyone know?

I have a trust old Sigma 90mm macro (about 10 years?) which I won't mind re-chipping if its cheap.
