Default Benro Monopod and Manfrotto Ballhead

Hi,

Just bought a Benro MP-63 monopod, and was trying to fix my Manfrotto ballhead on to it. Then I realised that the screw on the monopod is much smaller than my ballhead's screw thread. Is there anything I could do to fix my ballhead onto the monopod? Please advise. Thanks.

Cheers!

Did you get the mono 2nd hand? There should be a dual thread on the mono to accomodate both the tripod socket as well as head sockets. Not sure of differences in design between models, but there might be a seperate or detachable adapter in the box somwhere ...

Did the monopod come with a spanner? use it to remove the nut and screw thread bolt, the larger screw thread shld be on the reverse side.

Yes, it comes with a spanner to remove the bolt. But the screw is tightly attached to the monopod, so how should I loosen it? Any suggestion. Thanks.

Brand new usually very tight.

Squirt a little WD-40 and let it sit for 5-10 minutes, then try wrenching it off.

CHEERS!

I've already removed the bolt, and the base. But still left the screw with the threads. You mean it can be removed easily? Is it meant to be unscrewed? Coz there's the threads there and I scared I spoil the threads, if I get a something to grip it and turn.

Can't picture it in my mind.

Attach a pic here?

If it's the BOLT, you have to determine if it's supposed o be removed, or used with some kind of adapter. Sorry can't tell without looking at it.

Please help, and thank you so much.

This shows all the stuffs that I've dismantled.

The rest shows the screw with threads of 2 sizes. Am I supposed to remove this? or maybe cannot be removed at all?

Doesn't look like it's supposed to be removed, but used exactly the way it is - without the spacer plate for othe heads, and with if you'r attaching a camera directly to the mono. Try that and see how...

Your monopod's screw is the 1/4", and your head has the 3/8". You can buy the 1/4" to 3/8" adapter.

Remove it and flip it the other way. I did the same thing on my Benro monopod.
